Platform Specialist

Copello are working with a leading defence organisation who are seeking a Cloud Engineering Lead to provide technical oversight across secure cloud platforms supporting complex, mission-critical defence programmes., Lead and mentor cloud engineers, providing technical direction across platform and infrastructure teams.

Shape the architecture and design of secure cloud solutions aligned to programme requirements.

Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies, DevSecOps and CI/CD practices.

Ensure security, compliance and governance standards are maintained across cloud environments.

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and contribute to technical design and programme delivery.

Strong experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud architecture (certifications desirable).

Background in DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native environments.

Experience with containers and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, Docker or OpenShift.

Good understanding of cloud security, governance and highly regulated environments.

Ability to lead technical teams within complex engineering programmes.

Desirable: experience within defence, national security or other regulated sectors, plus scripting/automation skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) would be advantageous.
