The successful candidate will be the local technical expert and strategic advisor to our customers and bridge the gap between DeepL's technical features and the customer's desired outcomes, ultimately driving adoption and satisfaction. Our Solutions Consultants are a global group of product experts who work hand in hand with our Account Executives, ensuring every customer's technical needs are met. - Lead complex, multi-threaded sales cycles, driving technical discovery, advanced evaluations, proofs of concept, and complex RFP/RFI responses.
- Develop and deliver sophisticated demos, prototypes, and technical presentations tailored to both business and technical audiences.
- Create and refine scalable frameworks, workflows, and enablement content (e.g., integration playbooks, demo assets, ROI models) adopted by the broader SC team.
- Lead cross-functional process innovation initiatives-such as improved deal intake flows or optimized SC-to-Sales/CSM handoff processes-that enhance operational efficiency.
- Drive technical enablement for new product features and lead special projects that elevate the Solutions Consulting team's capabilities.
- Guide Account Executives on technical storytelling, competitive differentiation, and account strategy for strategic deals.
- Represent the Solutions Consulting perspective in cross-functional conversations with Legal, InfoSec, Product, and Marketing during complex evaluations.
- Collect and synthesize market, customer, and competitive insights to influence product development and go-to-market strategy.
- Foster deep client partnerships through expert technical guidance, proactive engagement, and strategic consultation to ensure long-term solution adoption.
- Mentor and upskill peers across Sales, Customer Success, and Partnerships, improving technical acumen, stakeholder management, and presales excellence.
- Lead process and workflow improvements that advance the Solutions Consulting function and support organizational growth.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience, with 5+ years in client-facing pre-sales, sales engineering, technical consulting, or enterprise implementation roles within a SaaS or cloud technology company
- Proven track record operating in complex enterprise sales cycles, partnering closely with account executives, product teams, and customer stakeholders across business and technical functions
- Extensive hands-on experience leading customer evaluations, proof-of-concepts, and large-scale deployments, including responsibility for technical win strategy
- Deep technical proficiency, including practical expertise with REST APIs, identity and access management (IAM), SSO/SAML/OAuth/OpenID, and integration patterns across modern SaaS architectures
- You excel at leading multi-workstream, high-impact technical initiatives with numerous external and internal stakeholders, and you're able to influence decision-making across engineering, product, and go-to-market teams
- Ability to master new technologies rapidly and contribute to the development of scalable pre-sales methodologies, playbooks, and best practices
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT, security, risk, and compliance processes, with experience guiding customers through detailed security questionnaires, architecture reviews, and RFP/RFI processes
- Motivated by working in a scale-up environment where processes evolve quickly; you thrive in ambiguity, contribute to organizational maturity, and help shape how the team scales
- Fluency in German and English, with additional language skills (French, Italian, or Japanese) considered a strong advantage
