Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks that improve security operations and control enforcement across AWS environments.
- Identify manual or repetitive security activities and transform them into scalable, automated workflows, including remediation, compliance checks, and response actions.
- Use Infrastructure as Code and policy-as-code approaches, including CloudFormation and AWS-native controls, to strengthen cloud governance and consistency.
- Implement automated controls that support continuous compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
- Define and enforce security baselines across AWS accounts, including configuration monitoring, drift detection, and standardized guardrails.
- Develop automated detection and response capabilities using services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail, and integrate them with SIEM or SOAR platforms where appropriate.
- Build reusable auto-remediation playbooks for common findings and recurring cloud security issues.
- Collaborate closely with platform, DevOps, and development teams to embed security automation into CI/CD pipelines and day-to-day engineering practices.
- Provide reusable modules, templates, and guidance that help teams implement secure-by-design solutions consistently.
- Create automation that scales across multi-account AWS environments, supporting account provisioning, security controls, and governance through AWS Organizations.
- Document workflows, controls, architectures, and remediation actions to ensure traceability, maintainability, and operational clarity.
- Continuously evaluate new AWS capabilities and third-party tooling to improve security automation, reduce operational overhead, and promote an automation-first culture.

Requirements
We're looking for a Cloud Security Automation with strong Python and cloud automation skills, who can bring ownership, prioritization, and a collaborative mindset to a fast-moving environment. A cybersecurity background is valuable, but the strongest differentiator for this role is the ability to build reliable automation in cloud and DevOps contexts., * 4-6 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, platform security, or security automation roles. (Required)
- Hands-on experience building automation in AWS environments and translating operational needs into scalable solutions. (Preferred)
- Experience in financial services, regulated environments, or security-focused teams is valued. (Preferred)
Languages

Hard Skills
- Strong Python development skills for automation, tooling, and workflow orchestration. (Required)
- Hands-on experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code, especially CloudFormation; knowledge of Terraform is valued. (Preferred)
- Working knowledge of cloud security principles, CI/CD, observability, compliance automation, and policy enforcement. (Preferred)

Education
