Job description
- Develop and deliver Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models
- Design and maintain enterprise-grade data models using best practice
- Implement governance frameworks, including workspace and access control
- Optimise performance of datasets, reports and data pipelines
- Ensure compliance with security, audit and data protection standards
- Produce clear technical documentation for reporting solutions
- Support platform administration and capacity-aware design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into insights
- Monitor and improve reporting performance and scalability
- Provide technical guidance on Power BI best practice and architecture
Requirements
- Extensive Power BI development experience in enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query and data modelling (star schema)
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric architecture
- Proven ability to optimise performance of datasets and reports
- Strong SQL skills and understanding of data sources for analytics
- Knowledge of governance, security and RBAC frameworks
- Experience with tools such as Tabular Editor, DAX Studio or ALM Toolkit
- Understanding of Azure AD or Entra ID and data gateway architecture
- Familiarity with Python for analytics (desirable)
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
