Solution Architect

You will play a key role in defining and delivering end-to-end solution designs for a modern Digital Post-Trade Portal. Working closely with senior stakeholders, architects, engineering teams, and business SMEs, you'll help translate business needs into clear, practical architectural solutions aligned to programme objectives and enterprise standards., * Contribute to end-to-end solution design across the Digital Post-Trade Portal lifecycle

• Collaborate with Business Analysts to shape new and enhanced functional requirements and streamline existing digital portals
• Support and evolve target architecture, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose
• Produce and present architectural artefacts including HLDs, solution options, integration views, NFR alignment, and decision records
• Work with engineering teams across digital channels, APIs, and integration layers to ensure coherent and secure solutions
• Embed secure-by-design principles and engage with Tech Risk and assurance teams where required
• Support integration across both vendor and in-house platforms, ensuring alignment with the wider technology landscape
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels, from engineers and analysts through to senior management
• Provide architectural support to adjacent trading or operations streams that interface with the Digital Portal, including SSO and shared access models

Experience in digital channels, security architecture, and client-facing portals will be a strong advantage., Essential Skills & Experience of the Solution Architect

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect in complex technology or financial-services environments
• Strong background in client-facing digital platforms, web portals, or post-trade / trading-related systems
• Practical experience applying security architecture and secure-by-design principles
• Good understanding of API-led, integration-centric architectures and data-flow modelling
• Experience designing scalable, modular, and resilience-focused solutions
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to varied audiences
• Comfortable working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced delivery environments

Desirable Experience of the Solution Architect

• Exposure to investment banking post-trade workflows and client-journey patterns
• Knowledge of ODS concepts, front- and back-office decoupling, and resilient architectures
• Awareness of data-architecture concepts such as domain models, reference data, and operational data flows
• Experience with API gateways, middleware, or enterprise integration platforms
• Previous exposure to trading or post-trade systems
• Understanding of operational data exchange, caching, and resilience strategies, * Pragmatic and outcome-focused, able to shape solutions in areas of uncertainty or change
• Clear, confident communicator who can simplify complex topics
• Highly collaborative, comfortable working across business and technology teams
• Self-starter who brings structure, clarity, and well-reasoned architectural options into delivery environments
