Job description
IT Systems Engineer Location: London (60% remote/40% office) Role Purpose Supporting a newly merged IT Infrastructure & Systems function, maintaining and improving cloud and on-premise environments. Key Responsibilities
- Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Azure, AvePoint, and third-party apps (VoIP, CRM)
- Maintain infrastructure including Windows Server, Red Hat Linux, VMware, Veeam, SAN, Zabbix, and SolarWinds
- Act as 3rd Line escalation for 1st/2nd Line teams
- Manage incidents end-to-end, ensuring SLA adherence
- Monitor and respond to security alerts (M365 XDR, Sophos MDR, Elastic SIEM)
- Support projects and drive system improvements (RFCs)
- Perform root cause analysis and maintain documentation
Key Requirements
- Degree (or equivalent experience)
- Microsoft certifications: MS-102, MD-102, SC-200, SC-400, AZ-104
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and ITIL
- Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented
Desirable
- MCSE, Linux certifications, or CCNA
- Hybrid cloud/on-prem experience
