Job description

We're working with a TOP GLOBAL INSURER to find a Senior Solution Architect to join their growing Specialty - Global Markets division in London.

This is a high-impact role where you'll shape architecture strategy, lead solution design, and play a key part in modernising enterprise platforms within a leading global insurer.

The Opportunity

You'll operate at the heart of technology and business, designing scalable, future-ready solutions across complex transformation programmes. This role offers strong visibility, stakeholder engagement, and the chance to influence architectural direction across multiple initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Designing end-to-end solution architectures aligned to enterprise standards
  • Developing application roadmaps and supporting transformation/migration initiatives
  • Collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to shape scalable, reusable solutions
  • Leading architecture governance, ensuring best practices and design standards
  • Supporting Agile and DevSecOps delivery models
  • Driving integration strategies across APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems
  • Identifying technical risks and defining mitigation strategies
  • Contributing to architecture communities and promoting reuse across platforms

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Solution / Enterprise Architect within complex environments
  • Strong knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure or similar)
  • Experience with API-led, microservices, and integration architectures
  • Background in insurance platforms (Guidewire highly desirable)
  • Experience across the insurance lifecycle (policy, claims, billing, underwriting)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF) is a plus
