Ready to shape the future of digital delivery? Balfour Beatty is on the lookout for an experienced Digital Delivery Manager to join our dynamic team in Derby.   • Develop processes; implement a digital culture with the use of Digital Technology across the framework projects.

  • Work with the Project Team to deliver the Project Digital Strategy, Digital Execution Plan and Customer's goals.

  • Working with the project team to implement processes/culture/technology for Digital Site Management Techniques / mobile technology to deliver progressive assurance procedures.

  • Advise the Procurement/Delivery team of contract deliverables, Digital programme, Digital resources and Supply Chain capabilities/requirements to be included within the Balfour Beatty tender.

  • Working with the project team and Supply Chain members for the use and development of the Project Information Model Graphical and Non Graphical (3D Model)

  • Working with the project team to use digital tools that promote CDM Regulation and Zero Harm compliance, eg the use of PAS 1192/6.

  • Working with the project team to implement processes/culture/technology so that Programme can be linked to the Detailed Design Model i.e. 4D for Construction and own/support

  • Working with the project team to implement processes/culture/technology so that costs can be linked to the Model i.e. 5D for Construction and own/support

  • Working with the project team to implement processes/culture/technology so that Asset Information/data can be linked to the model producing a 6D Model (COBie) for Handover and Commissioning and own/support.

  • Before construction commences mobilisation, engage with the project team to implement people/processes/culture/technology which can be used during the Construction phase and limit/mitigate potential conflicts before site execution gate stage.

  • Working with the project team to implement processes/culture/technology so that an As Built model is created for Handover and Commissioning and own/support

  • Educate people, develop / implement the Project Execution Plan and use technology during stages 1 - 8 to develop model (s) with data Integrated into the design, construction and facilities operation/maintenance all in accordance with the Project Execution Plan.

  • Research, Develop, Implement, Review new ways of working which will benefit the project by increasing efficiency, reducing cost, improve quality, sustainability and aiming for Zero Harm

Track and report the progress of the project implementation and delivery reporting value gained from the implementation of Digital processes. Deliver presentations to internal and external parties on the benefits and KPI's gained from the project.

  • Provide Reports / Innovation Case Studies created on a regular basis that can be shared with Line Management to track/report project progress, aid proper project delivery, knowledge share and continuous improvement.

  • Lead on reporting the digital strategic objectives regularly for every project Monthly Review (MPR) meetings.

Requirements

Thee following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Professional membership is desirable

  • BSc, MSc, BEng, MEng with an understanding and proven delivery of building managing multiple processes / schemes.

  • 7-10 years of project / Educational experience

  • Sound understanding of the latest industry guidelines for Digital project delivery such as BS and PAS particularly ISO19650.

  • Experience of implementing BIM Standards and creating BIM Execution Plans

  • Experience of using the Digital Software applications including Primary Authoring (i.e. Revit) and secondary (i.e. Solibri & Navisworks).

  • Experience of clash detection and validating the models preferably using Solibri (3D).

  • Some experience / understanding of Synchro or equivalent Software (4D).

  • Experience of using the digital software for quantities take off (5D).

  • Experience of delivering COBie assets requirements and bespoke custom properties (6D).

  • Experience of models-based identification and management of Health & Safety risks in line with relevant standards.

  • Experience of delivering and managing the project deliverables.

  • Ideal but not essential to have a working knowledge of project CDE environment.
