Data Scientist

• Develop data science solutions to resolve business challenges.
• Contribute to the analytics hopper, helping keep it updated and refreshed with new use cases.
• Identify opportunities or business problems where analytics can be solved with data science.
• Be a point of contact for data science projects, including meetings with stakeholders.
• Sell the vision of advanced analytics and data-based decision making to wider stakeholders, managing engagement with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Keep up to speed with latest trends in the market and ensure AXA Commercial Data Science team are leading the way.
• Help develop, roll out and drive data science strategy and standards across team.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.

Work arrangements:

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events. • Commercial experience in data science, machine learning or applied statistics, with excellent software engineering skills.
• Advanced Python capability, with experience building robust, production ready solutions.
• Hands on experience working with Databricks and the Azure ecosystem; experience using Power BI is desirable.
• Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models using modern Python frameworks and libraries.
• Experience with LLMs and Generative AI, including practical implementation in real business use cases.
• Applied experience with MLOps practices and tools, such as MLflow, to take models from experimentation into production.
• Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to non-technical audiences and senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering AI solutions that drive measurable business impact.
