PostgreSQL Database Administrator

Join ING Bank's OnePAM Data Core team as an Operations Engineer III. You will work within the TouchPoint platform, ING's global marketplace for internal and external services. The OnePAM Data Core hosts all European party and agreement data, ensuring stable and resilient operations of critical customer and product data processes. You will contribute to both maintaining the current IBM MDM-based system and leading the strategic migration to a new Postgres-based platform.

Responsibilities

• Perform platform operations including deployments, automation, lifecycle management, and incident/change management
• Ensure production stability, observability, and service availability across high-availability systems
• Design and implement reusable automation and tooling for multiple teams
• Manage Postgres database administration tasks: setup, performance tuning, monitoring, DDL, and optimisation
• Participate in standby and on-call rotations
• Contribute throughout the full development lifecycle, from refining user stories to production support
• Collaborate on capacity planning, dependency management, and risk mitigation

Work environment

You will join a multidisciplinary, international agile squad based in Leeuwarden that develops, maintains, and operates its own systems. The team works in a hybrid model with at least one day per week on-site. You will work in a corporate, financial services environment with a focus on large-scale, high-availability platforms requiring 24/7 resilience and reliability.

• Postgres application DBA experience (setup, usage, performance, monitoring, DDL, optimisation)
