Job description

  • Review, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues remotely and on-site
  • Respond to support requests and incidents via phone and email
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documentation where appropriate
  • Deliver a high level of technical support and customer service
  • Manage user account creation, pre-stage configurations, and asset management
  • Escalate issues to appropriate teams when required

Requirements

Due to continued expansion, Glent Group has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Line IT Supportprofessional. This role is suited to someone proactive, pragmatic, and solutions-focused.

The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability as a team player, providing support by logging and troubleshooting IT requests and incidents. As part of Glent Group's frontline support, you will act as a first and second point of contact for end users, taking ownership of issues and working methodically to resolve them or escalate where necessary.

A genuine passion for IT, enthusiasm for learning new technologies, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential for success in this role., * Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and structured approach

  • Experience with Microsoft Desktop and Office 365 products
  • Knowledge of Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePoint
  • Working knowledge of virtual environments
  • Understanding of basic network protocols and devices
  • Ability to troubleshoot both on-premise and remote environments
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent experience)

Desirable skills

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong customer service skills (written and verbal)
  • Basic understanding of ITIL best practice
  • Experience with Sage, AutoDesk, and Bluebeam software
  • CompTIA Security+ and/or Network+ (or working towards)
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Comfortable working in an office environment with dogs
