Job description
We're working with an established software business looking to hire a .NET Developer to focus on maintaining and improving their existing systems., This is a slightly different type of developer role; instead of working on new builds, you'll be working across live systems used by long-standing clients, resolving issues, implementing improvements, and ensuring everything runs smoothly day-to-day., You'll be working across a range of existing web applications and systems, supporting a diverse client base by:
- Investigating and resolving bugs and technical issues
- Making enhancements and improvements to live systems
- Working across both back-end and front-end components
- Understanding and modifying existing codebases
- Responding to client requests via a ticketing system (no phone support)
- Collaborating with a wider development team to continuously improve systems
This is a hands-on development role, but focused entirely on existing systems rather than new project builds.
Requirements
If you enjoy problem-solving, working with real-world applications, and want a role without constant project pressure, this could be a great fit., * Experience in C# / .NET
- Experience working with existing systems, maintenance, or bug fixing
- Comfortable working with legacy codebases (e.g. .NET Framework / Web Forms)
- Basic front-end knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good written communication skills
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
- Experience with SQL / databases
- Previous exposure to support, tickets, or client requests
- Experience working in an agency or multi-client environment, * Happy working on existing systems and solving real-world problems, rather than building new applications from scratch.
