Die Position
A healthier future. It's what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That's what makes us Roche.
In Roche's Research and Early Development organisations, we make transformative medicines for patients in order to tackle some of the world's toughest unmet healthcare needs. We are united by our mission to transform science into medicines. Together, we create a culture defined by curiosity, responsibility and humility, where our talented people are empowered and inspired to bring forward extraordinary life-changing innovation at speed.
The Computational Sciences Centre of Excellence is a global organisation enabling Roche's Research and Early Development units (pRED and gRED) to become more data-driven, more digitally adept and better prepared for the challenges of the future. Within the Computational Sciences Centre of Excellence, Computational Medicine focuses on developing and applying innovative data analysis solutions to support clinical development furthering our understanding of disease, disease progression, and individual patient's response to treatment by having access to the largest Pharma R datasets in the world. In partnership with our scientists across pRED and gRED, we create better medicines by augmenting every part of R through our data-driven culture.
The Opportunity:
This position will focus on delivering world-leading real-world data (RWD) analytical capabilities at scale. You will play a senior scientific role within the Real World Data Insights team in Computational Medicine.
Together with other real-world data experts and collaboration partners, you will lead the design and execution of complex, high-impact RWD studies, improving our understanding of disease biology, informing biomarker strategies and generating actionable insights into patient populations and treatment outcome prediction. You will drive the integration of diverse real-world data sources (e.g., EHR, claims, registries, and linked datasets) and apply advanced analytical approaches to inform clinical development decisions. You will influence and optimize study designs, patient eligibility criteria, and endpoint strategies, ensuring that RWD is effectively leveraged across the drug development lifecycle. You will operate as a trusted strategic partner to senior stakeholders, translating complex analytical findings into impactful decisions.
As part of the Computational Biology and Medicine department, you will contribute to the broader scientific and technical strategy, drawing on global expertise and driving best practices in RWD analysis. You will also play a key role in mentoring and developing talent, and establishing methodological standards and scalable analytical solutions.
The Real World Data Insights team is collectively accountable for delivering critical insights for the portfolio. Your success is measured not only by your individual contributions but by your ability to lead, influence, and drive impact across teams and the broader organization, delivering high-value insights for the portfolio and ultimately for patients.
