Lead Applications Engineer

A Lead Applications Engineer is required to join a growing deep-tech company developing advanced sensing technologies. The Lead Applications Engineer will act as the technical bridge between product development and customer deployment, taking ownership of application strategy and technical engagement. This Lead Applications Engineer role combines hands-on engineering with leadership responsibility in a highly technical environment. Responsibilities

• Lead customer-facing technical support for device and system integration
• Develop and maintain application workflows, test setups and evaluation platforms
• Work closely with internal engineering teams to validate, characterise and improve products
• Own technical documentation, application notes and customer reports
• Support product qualification, demonstrations and early customer adoption
• Mentor junior applications or test engineers as the team grows

• Strong background in electronics engineering, semiconductor devices, photonics or applied physics
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment, hardware bring-up and system-level testing
• Ability to translate complex technical detail into clear customer guidance
• Comfortable operating as a technical authority with customers and internal stakeholders
• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
