This Cloud Security Architect role is a hands-on position based in London, focused on designing and implementing secure cloud solutions across multiple platforms. You will shape and maintain the organisation's security posture, contribute to key transformation projects, and produce clear technical documentation and design artefacts. The position combines high-level architecture with practical design and implementation activities in complex cloud environments., * Design and develop secure cloud architectures across public cloud platforms, ensuring that security is Embedded into all solutions from the outset.
- Define and maintain cloud security standards, patterns, and reference architectures to support transformation initiatives.
- Lead the design and implementation of micro-segmentation strategies to minimise attack surfaces and improve network security within cloud environments.
- Architect and support Firewall automation solutions to improve consistency, reduce manual effort, and enhance security controls.
- Configure and optimise cloud security controls and services across platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Collaborate with teams responsible for Active Directory and identity services to ensure secure integration with cloud solutions.
- Contribute to the deployment and tuning of security monitoring and logging solutions, including platforms such as QRadar.
- Produce clear architecture documentation, design specifications, and supporting materials, including explanatory videos where required, to guide implementation teams.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to initiate and support the implementation of security designs and improvements.

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or Cloud Security Architect in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong background in cloud security, including the design and implementation of secure architectures for public cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with micro-segmentation in cloud or hybrid environments.
- Practical experience with Firewall technologies and Firewall automation approaches.
- Working knowledge of QRadar or similar security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
- Solid experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Good understanding of AWS and its core security and networking features.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and its integration with cloud-based services.
- Demonstrable experience in designing, documenting, and communicating technical architectures to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a hands-on manner, moving from architecture and design through to supporting implementation., * Relevant networking knowledge, ideally supported by a qualification such as CCNP or equivalent experience.
- experience working on cloud transformation or modernisation projects.
- Familiarity with broader cloud security best practices, frameworks, and industry standards.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to create clear documentation and explanatory materials, including video-based content.
