SC Cleared/DV Cleared SQL Server DBA

• Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise database systems with a primary focus on Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
• Support and administer additional database platforms including PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Ensure reliability, security, performance, and availability across the data environment.
• Monitor database performance and proactively tune queries and indexes.
• Manage backup, recovery strategies, and perform restore testing for all platforms.

• Security, We are seeking a SC Cleared/DV Cleared SQL Server DBA to work with our central government client in Milton Keynes. This role offers a pay rate of £400 per day inside IR35 and is a 6-month contract, allowing for hybrid working with 3 days per week on-site. Join our team to support various tiered systems within the SQL database administration and development space.

• Extensive experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production/secure environments.
• Current SC Security or DV Security Clearance or eligible.
• Skill with PostgreSQL and MySQL database administration.
• Strong understanding of T SQL, SQL query optimization, and database internals.
• Ability to install, configure, patch, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MySQL database environments.
• Experience in monitoring database performance and proactively tuning queries, indexes, and server configurations.
• Experience in managing database backups, recovery strategies, and restore testing across all platforms.
