We are looking for a DevOps Expert (f/m/d) for the newly founded Cloud Delivery Germany as part of SAP's Sovereign Cloud Organization. With the buildout of new Sovereign Cloud regions, you will be taking part in laying the foundation towards a unified and competitive business in the regulated industry.

You will be responsible for production cloud operations of our multitenant solutions in Germany.

The role includes the following tasks:

  • Cloud Operations: Design, implement, monitor, maintain and optimize the SAP Sovereign Cloud system landscape for Germany.
  • Setup of a multi-system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies.
  • Provide on-call support for incidents and performance degradations.
  • Continuous improvement of implementation documentation
  • Partner with engineering team to design and enhance the cloud operation processes

Requirements

  • Desire and ability to work independently on complex issues, as well as collaborate efficiently with experts across different time zones to anticipate issues that impact customer success
  • Expertise with GitLab
  • Familiar with Terraform and Ansible
  • Expertise with Linux, SUSE
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Experience with some of the following: Kubernetes, Helm, Python, BASH scripting
  • Experience with hyperscaler services, Experience with Cloud Computing and Databases
  • Debugging/Troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle various projects, deadlines and changing priorities
  • A willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with on-call duties and flexibility to work in shifts is required, ensuring consistent coverage and support. The role includes an attractive remuneration package for shift work and on-call duties
  • Commitment to maintaining daily office presence for efficient team collaboration
  • Experience in cloud operations of at least one SAP solution (e.g. HCM, BTP, SAC, etc.) is optional.
