Job description

You will work together with other information managers, architects, Product Owners and other colleagues to organize digitization in a smart and clear way. Within the Information Management team, you also help to get better agreements and clearer decision-making about all digital plans., * You are responsible for the coherence, prioritization and governance of the digital portfolio within business operations;

  • You develop and manage the digital roadmap and ensure that initiatives contribute to the strategic goals of the organization;
  • You will support the board and management in decision-making about priorities, investments and the use of resources in the field of digitisation and information provision;
  • At portfolio level, you monitor the balance between management, continuity and further development of digital services;
  • You ensure coherence and clear prioritization within the digital portfolio.

Your team

You will work within the Information Management team of Wageningen University & Research. In this team, information managers, portfolio managers and architects work together on the digital development of the organization. Information managers focus on processes and information provision; architects ensure a good design of the business and IT architecture. Together, you monitor the coherence, priorities and administrative management of the digital portfolio

Requirements

  • A completed university degree, preferably in business administration, information management, or something similar.
  • Experience with digitization, information provision or organizational development in a complex organization.
  • At least 5 years of experience in portfolio management, prioritization and governance of digital initiatives.
  • Demonstrable ability to oversee larger change tasks and digital developments in a coherent way.
  • Excellent communication skills, including English at C1 level.

In this role, we are looking for someone who can think strategically, quickly see connections and explain complex topics simply. You have to be able to create an overview in a busy environment with many interests and be able to help you make sharp choices. You have administrative antennae: you understand how decision-making works and move smoothly between the board, management and experts. In addition, you are a connector who brings different departments together and ensures that processes, information and digitization are aligned. Finally, you have strong communication skills: you can present difficult topics clearly and support decisions well.

Of course, these excellent fringe benefits also include an appropriate salary. Depending on your experience, we offer a competitive salary of a minimum of € 4,741 to a maximum of € 7,905 for a full working week of 36 hours according to the Collective Labor Agreement for Wageningen Research (scale 12/13). For this role, an appointment of at least 24 hours is negotiable. When it comes to your contract, we initially offer a one-year contract with the intention of converting it to an indefinite contract.
