We have an excellent opportunity for a proven Workstream lead to join our excellent Project Management Office for 12 months and take up the reins of the current implementation of our brand new Practice Management System and Business Intelligence tool. The design phase has already been completed, so it's now all about a successful landing.

The Workstream lead will initially provide a direct line of contact between the project team and the HR teams key stakeholders as we look to drive this project to a successful conclusion, as well as supporting the HR function in the design of efficient and effective future processes that might be required for short term 'fixes' or for future phases of the implementation.

Once the HR project has landed there will be other projects that the Workstream lead will be transitioned onto.

  • Work with end users and the testing team to ensure functionality developed is tested and accepted before being deployed

  • Manage business change activities for the assigned work stream including internal communications, user acceptance testing, roll out and training

  • Manage and maintain work and project plans through liaison with project and programme managers to maintain accuracy of the plans.

  • Provide support to the project and programme manager to ensure that risks, issues and changes are identified at an early stage, and a suitable strategy is developed to enable their effective management and recording.

  • Produce and maintain any requested project artefacts in accordance with internal standards

  • Appropriately manage and communicate work stream expectations and updates to team members and others as required

  • Ensure business ownership is established and planned for the ongoing realisation of benefits enabled by the product and put in place the transition plans.

Requirements

It's likely that the successful applicant will have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed as well as the ability to prioritise and deliver in a high pressured environment (when many people are asking you to make their requests your top priority).

Strong problem solving abilities and the recognition of what can and can't be compromised will see the person do well; think of it as delivering great customer service both internally and externally. A working knowledge of MS Project is required, and a track record of successfully driving, implementing and sustaining projects is a big advantage. The culture in our firm is supportive and we're looking for someone who is has experience of successfully motivating and getting the best out of their people and also the best out of their suppliers. You'll help create a constructive and forward thinking environment, where 'no problem is insurmountable'. Closing date Friday, 13 October 2017 13:09 (UK time)
