Job description

As a Junior System Engineer at BDO, you will contribute to the design, implementation, and support of IT infrastructure solutions. Working closely with senior engineers and stakeholders, you'll ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. This role offers a dynamic environment where you can enhance your technical expertise and gradually take on more complex responsibilities., * Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, networks, and system software.

  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Resolve complex and recurring IT incidents at third-line level.
  • Provide support for the Service Desk team, serving as an escalation point when needed.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patches, and backups.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Maintain and improve the internal knowledge base and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure projects and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with IT policies and security standards.

Requirements

  • Experience: up to 3 years in system administration or infrastructure support.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Hyper-V, networking, and IT security.
  • Cloud Familiarity: Experience with Azure or AWS.
  • Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bicep) is a plus.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills with a proactive, team-oriented approach.
  • Problem Solving: Solid technical problem-solving abilities and a basic understanding of IT security; experience with monitoring and backup tools is advantageous
