About the role
Your mission is to develop features that let users customize the supply-chain data and models shaping their environmental impacts. You'll collaborate with LCA specialists to design the formats, architecture, and workflows for exchanging supply-chain information, while ensuring compatibility with other LCA tools and delivering a smooth user experience, * You will implement the new features by making changes to the Python backend, handling the core logic, the SQL database, as well as the JavaScript frontend.
- Collaborate closely with the full software team to integrate these expansions seamlessly into the current codebase while improving the general code quality.
- Regularly report on your progress and provide demos to technical experts to receive feedback for tool improvement.
Requirements
We seek a highly skilled software developer with significant Python experience. Experience in integrating a large-scale codebase and collaboration with other developers is critical. You should value code quality and be committed to maintaining high standards:
- Proficient in Python software development.
- Experience with large-scale codebase integration.
- Understanding of life-cycle assessment software and data formats.
- SQL database design and management.
- JavaScript and NextJS development emphasizing UX/UI.
- Background in semiconductor manufacturing or materials engineering is a plus.
