Backend Software Engineer

As a Backend Software Engineer at Qargo, you'll work on the backbone of our Transport Management Platform. The systems you build and improve power everything from planning and execution to billing and reporting for logistics companies across Europe. Your work directly impacts platform reliability, performance, and scalability as our customer base continues to grow.

You'll focus on designing, building, and maintaining robust backend services and APIs, working primarily with Python, Django, GraphQL, and our cloud-native infrastructure on Google Cloud. Beyond feature development, you'll contribute to improving our architecture, data flows, and cloud infrastructure to ensure the platform remains resilient and future-proof.

You'll collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other backend engineers to translate real-world logistics challenges into scalable technical solutions. This role offers a strong mix of hands-on development, problem-solving, and ownership, with plenty of room to influence technical decisions and shape how our platform evolves., * You'll be focused on back-end development of the system, contributing to the core functionality of our TMS platform and working mainly with Python, Django, GraphQL, Postgres, Kubernetes (k8s), PubSub, and Google Cloud.

• You have a Master's degree in IT/Computer Science/Software Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in backend development.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges and designing scalable software solutions. You understand technical tradeoffs and make pragmatic decisions.

• Experience with writing and understanding complex SQL queries in Postgres & Google Cloud BigQuery is a plus.
