Job description
We are looking for an experienced SAP S/4HANA Program Lead to drive the strategic planning and end-to-end execution of a large-scale S/4HANA transformation program within an international organisation.
In this role, you will lead a global, cross-functional team and act as the primary liaison between executive leadership and technical workstreams, ensuring the program delivers high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
This position goes beyond classic project management. Alongside overseeing individual projects, you will maintain a cross-project, long-term perspective to harmonise multiple workstreams and shape the global ERP strategy.
Core Responsibilities
-
Strategic Delivery & Roadmap Own the end-to-end program mandate, defining detailed roadmaps, schedules, and measurable objectives.
-
Governance & Risk Management Establish and maintain robust program governance frameworks, including RAID logs (Risks, Actions, Issues, Dependencies) and delivery controls to ensure effective execution.
-
Stakeholder & Vendor Management Act as the primary interface for senior management and steering committees. Oversee external system integrators and vendors, managing contractual obligations and performance.
-
Financial Oversight Manage program and project budgets, optimise resource allocation, and ensure accurate financial tracking.
-
Team Leadership Lead diverse, cross-functional, and global Matrix teams, including functional consultants, developers, and business analysts.
-
Change Management & Adoption Drive business-side activities to ensure successful user adoption, process alignment (where required), effective communication, and training.
Requirements
- Exceptional executive-level communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage resistance to change
- Strong experience leading large, diverse teams across multiple time zones and cultures
- SAP S/4HANA expertise: deep understanding of S/4HANA delivery models, key modules (eg Finance, Supply Chain), and migration strategies such as Bluefield, Brownfield, and Greenfield
- Methodologies: hands-on experience with SAP Activate, Cloud ALM, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery frameworks
- Experience: typically 10+ years within SAP environments, with at least 5 years in program management roles for large-scale transformations
- Proven leadership capabilities in managing complex, enterprise-wide programs
