DWP is using Microsoft 365 product portfolio - Exchange, SharePoint, One Drive, Teams, Office Apps, Lists and Forms. This role is focused on Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (Office) and Adobe product management. The engineer needs to deploy feature and quality updates to Office Apps, ensuring the build and configuration supports DWP staffs use of Microsoft 365 services. Administration of Adobe products and regular updates of the desktop apps are also part of the Infrastructure Engineers responsibilities.
The Infrastructure Engineer will work with engineers across the DWP Digital team to ensure product change and security hardening implementations are successful. Youll design and support other Microsoft client tools, such as Project and Visio as well as some of the Microsoft 365 online services such as Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive.
Youll be working with the teams who manage the different DWP devices and software to ensure solutions are consistently delivered across Desktop and Mobile platforms., As a Microsoft 365 Infrastructure Engineer within DWP Digital youll be responsible for:
- Design, build and maintain the DWPs Microsoft 365 products and services as directed and according to departmental policy to improve system health and reliability.
- Deployment and evergreen update of the Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise ( Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote) and its integration with Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive.
- Administration and deployment of Adobe products and services and regular update of desktop apps.
- Windows 11 Device and Entra ID User setting/policy design, build, and deployment using Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune.
- Desktop application packaging and testing.
- Supporting assistive software products and its users - Dragon, JAWS etc and their integration with Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 Apps for enterprise (Office).
- Working with Microsoft and other third parties to provide infrastructure services.
- Technical delivery and support for Projects such as, Microsoft New Outlook, Adobe Apps update automation etc and contribute towards their design and implementation in DWP.
- The operational stability of the Microsoft 365 solutions and be able to affect change in the on-going robustness and resilience of those products.
- Collaborating with seniors and own the lifecycle process as part of a product and delivery team focused on one or more M365 products.
- ITIL service Management, specifically Change Management and Problem Management., Feedback will only be provided if you attend an interview or assessment.

You must have resided continuously in the UK for at least 3 of the last 5 years, 2 of which must have been the immediately preceding years from the point of applying for this job.

Hybrid Working
This role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in their DWP office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and your office will be your contractual place of work.

Salary Information
Pay for this role is from 44,447 to 52,442.
The maximum salary for the grade is 46,547, however a Digital Allowance of up to 5,895 per annum is available for exceptional candidates. Digital Allowance is non-salary, and non-pensionable, and is classed as a temporary allowance. It is reviewed annually where it could beretained, amended, or removed.

Existing Civil Servants who secure a new role on lateral transfer willmaintaintheir current substantive salary.
Existing Civil Servants who gain promotion will move to the bottom of the grade pay scale or receive a 10% increase applied to their current substantive salary, whichever is greater.
Any temporary allowances that you are currently in receipt of will not form part of the calculation todetermineyour pay. Any allowances that are in payment will cease when you move into your new role.
