Job description
Our client, a leading organisation operating within a highly secure and complex environment, is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to join their team. This is a key role responsible for shaping and governing enterprise-wide architecture to ensure alignment between business requirements and technology delivery., * Define, deliver, and maintain enterprise architecture aligned to programme objectives and user needs
- Apply industry-standard frameworks (e.g. TOGAF ADM) to develop baseline, target, and transition architectures
- Produce high-quality High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) artefacts in line with delivery timelines
- Develop architecture artefacts suitable for both delivery and operational environments
- Present and defend architectural designs at formal governance forums (e.g. design reviews)
- Build and maintain architecture models using enterprise modelling tools (e.g. Sparx EA or equivalent)
- Establish and enforce architecture standards, principles, and governance processes
- Ensure compliance with relevant security and assurance standards within a regulated environment
- Provide architectural guidance and assurance across programmes and projects
Requirements
- Proven experience operating as an Enterprise Architect within complex, large-scale organisations
- Demonstrable experience working within defence or similarly secure/government environments
- Current DV (Developed Vetting) clearance is essential
- Strong practical experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g. TOGAF)
- Hands-on experience with architecture modelling tools (e.g. Sparx Enterprise Architect or similar)
- Strong modelling capability across notations such as ArchiMate, UML, and BPMN
- Experience producing production-ready HLD and LLD artefacts
- Experience presenting at formal design and assurance forums
Additional Experience
- Familiarity with secure-by-design principles and working within regulated or high-assurance environments
- Experience supporting security assurance, risk assessment, and accreditation processes
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including working with senior technical and non-technical audiences
Desirable
- Relevant certifications (e.g. TOGAF, ArchiMate, or equivalent)
- Experience working within structured delivery methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, SAFe, or hybrid models)
Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
