Infrastructure Engineer

Also open to: Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Blackpool (Peel Park) Day Rate £550 - £650 per day (Umbrella) Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer (NetDevOps) to design, build, and evolve large-scale enterprise network platforms, with a strong emphasis on automation, modern network engineering, and cloud-integrated infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role - not an operations or SRE position. You will be expected to contribute immediately to design and delivery activities, applying engineering best practice across complex network environments. Working closely with Architecture, Cloud, and Engineering teams, you will deliver secure, scalable, and highly available network solutions, balancing short-term delivery requirements with longer-term platform improvement and technical roadmaps. Essential Technical Skills Must demonstrate strong, hands-on experience in the following areas: 1. Enterprise Networking Engineering * Complex OSPF and BGP environments *

Design and implementation of secure, resilient traffic flows * Strong understanding of enterprise and cloud network patterns 2. Firewall and Security Technologies * Extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls * Policy design and implementation across data centre and cloud * Strong understanding of Zero Trust and secure network design principles 3. Data Centre & Network Architecture * VXLAN / EVPN, VRF segmentation, and multi-site fabrics * Experience with Arista (or equivalent enterprise networking vendors) * Load balancing technologies such as F5 BIG-IP (LTM / APM / ASM) Nice to Have * Aruba Central / ClearPass * SD-WAN technologies * SaaS and cloud-delivered WLAN / Wi-Fi solutions * Experience modernising and transforming legacy network environments
