Job Title: Senior Engineer - Pressure Systems Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role Salary: £42,215+ depending on skills and experience What you'll be doing: Review design proposals from external contractors and consultants for new and refurbished pressure systems installations to ensure compliance with current legislation, regulations and site standards. Typical list of pressure systems encountered on site: -Wet and Superheated Steam Systems -Industrial process gases, i.e. Argon, Hydrogen, Oxygen, Propane etc -Natural Gas -Low and High Pressure Compressed Air systems -Mains water, Demineralised water -Hydraulic systems Provide advice/guidance/recommendations to the wider business on pressure system issues Preparation of technical reports and documentation to support new pressure system installations on site Define requirements for pressure systems in conjunction with end, extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive. The Site Specialist Engineering team: As Senior Engineer - Pressure systems you will be joining a multi-discipline team comprising suitably qualified and experienced personnel (SQEP) in Electrical, Mechanical and Civil/Structural disciplines. The main purpose of the team is to set site engineering standards and requirements for equipment/systems/facilities in accordance with legislation and process. You will be working under the direction of a Principal Engineer on a varied workload including involvement with a number of new buildings being built as part of the Shipyard expansion.
