Job description
As a Technical Solutions Engineer in our Retail Media Existing Business team, you will be the technical partner for a portfolio of EMEA retailers, ensuring their integrations with the Criteo Retail Media platform are robust, scalable, and delivering value over time. Example of duties:
- Act as the technical owner for a dedicated book of retailers, building long-term relationships and understanding their technical setup as well as business priorities
- Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing onsite and offsite integrations (tags, feeds, APIs, delivery templates, tracking) to ensure stability and performance
- Translate retailer and commercial requirements into clear, feasible technical solutions and implementation plans
- Investigate and resolve complex issues across the stack (catalog, delivery, beacons/tracking, consent, reporting), coordinating with Product, R&D, Platform Support, and other TS teams when needed
- Proactively identify optimisation opportunities in retailer integrations (data quality, inventory, placements, workflow) that can improve outcomes for both retailers and advertisers
- Contribute to multi-product adoption (e.g. new formats, offsite, advanced features) by clarifying technical feasibility, constraints, and rollout steps
- Help improve our tools, documentation, and ways of working by raising bugs, suggesting enhancements, and sharing best practices with the broader TS community
- Support knowledge-sharing within the team: document your work, contribute to internal playbooks, and occasionally lead or support trainings for peers and stakeholders
- Use AI and internal tools to speed up troubleshooting, automate repetitive tasks, and improve how you communicate solutions and recommendations
Requirements
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); comfortable in client-facing and internal stakeholder conversations
- Major merit if you are fluent in German
- Additional merit if you are fluent in one of the following: Spanish, Italian, and/or Polish
- Based in [or willing to relocate to] Barcelona, and eligible to work in Spain full-time with no restrictions
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on work experience
- 2 years of relevant experience in a technical role (Technical Account Management, Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Analytics, or similar)
- Solid understanding of web technologies: HTTP, cookies, HTML, JavaScript; familiarity with tags, tracking, and/or APIs
- Comfortable reading and working with data (logs, dashboards, basic SQL or similar tools is a plus) to diagnose issues and validate hypotheses
- Strong communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics in a clear, structured way to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven problem-solver who enjoys debugging, finding root causes, and proposing pragmatic solutions under time constraints
- Collaborative team player, open to feedback, who thrives in a multicultural, cross-functional environment
- Experience in online advertising / Retail Media / e-Commerce is an added merit
- You seamlessly use AI to speed up solution design, automate tasks, and enhance stakeholder interactions, and you document and share AI-driven insights with your team
