You'll be part of an established infrastructure team working with modern network technologies that keep global operations running smoothly., * Design and deploy wired and wireless data networks following industry best practices.
- Execute network-related projects within expected timelines while working autonomously.
- Configure, deploy, manage, and troubleshoot:
- Cisco switches (Catalyst, Meraki)
- Firewalls (Palo Alto, CradlePoint)
- Configure and support enterprise wireless solutions (Meraki, Extreme Networks).
- Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN, routing, and application-related issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Occasional travel may be required (less than 5%).
Requirements
We are seeking a Network Engineer with strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting both wired and wireless enterprise network solutions. This position is based in Amsterdam and will support the broader infrastructure organization across multiple international locations., * Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent experience.
- 2-3 years of experience in:
- Designing, deploying, and maintaining network infrastructure
- Cisco routing & switching
- Firewall administration (Palo Alto preferred)
- Working with Application/Transport/Network protocols: SSH, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, NTP, ARP, TCP, UDP, IPv4, BGP, OSPF, IPSec
- Ability to troubleshoot cloud networking, including AWS CloudWAN routing.
- Solid understanding of the OSI model.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Nice to have (and important):
- Demonstrated experience with Meraki wireless and network solutions
- Hands-on experience with BGP routing
