Job description
As a Software Test Integration and Automation Engineer you will join our team in London and will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and evolution of a modern CI/CD ecosystem and containerised runtime environment. The position sits at the crossroads of software engineering and operations, with a strong focus on enabling consistent, automated delivery of complex, distributed systems., * Develop, extend, and support CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, test, and release processes across multiple services.
- Operate and enhance container-based environments using tooling such as Docker, container registries, and orchestration platforms.
- Define deployment standards, including version control strategies, rollback mechanisms, and production-readiness processes.
- Take ownership of operational maintenance activities to ensure service continuity, performance, and resilience.
- Design and implement tooling that supports:
- Automated release and deployment of production services
- Centralised log aggregation and system monitoring
- Orchestration and lifecycle management of distributed components

Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience working with containerised systems, including image management, registries, and lifecycle operations.
- Strong practical background in CI/CD tooling and pipeline development (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
- Solid understanding of Linux-based systems, shell scripting, and automation techniques.
- Experience within Aerospace, Defence or space industries.
- A structured and disciplined approach to documentation, configuration, and operational processes.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Previous exposure to highly regulated, high-reliability, or operationally critical software environments.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation or monitoring and visualisation platforms (e.g. infrastructure-as-code tools, metrics dashboards).
