  • Champion cloud-first principles while supporting hybrid environments and the transition from legacy to modern infrastructure.

  • Promote standardisation, automation, and reuse through infrastructure-as-code, platform templates, and scalable deployment patterns.

  • Provide architectural oversight during implementation, ensuring that designs are realised effectively and with appropriate governance.

  • Collaborate with service owners, IT operations, security teams, and third-party providers to align infrastructure with business needs.

  • Contribute to the evolution of ICAEW's infrastructure strategy, including hosting models, lifecycle management, and automation standards.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in infrastructure architecture and design, particularly in Microsoft-centric environments.

  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud infrastructure, Azure services, and modern workplace technologies.

  • Familiarity with security, resilience, and operational frameworks (e.g. ISO27001, NIST, ITIL).

  • Experience in agile and traditional delivery models, with the ability to work across project and BAU contexts.
