Job Description Ready to make an impact? We're looking for a TechOps Engineer to join the IT Infrastructure team based at our head office site in Crewe. Reporting to our Head of Infrastructure, this role is key to supporting, maintaining, and continuously improving the IT environments that power our global operations. You'll work closely with colleagues across our Infrastructure, Software Development, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud infrastructure - primarily within AWS. This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home two days per week. Please be aware that if your application is successful, you will be required to undergo a Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV) Level 3 check as part of the onboarding process. What you'll be doing... Automate infrastructure tasks including environment builds, scaling, monitoring, and patching Support and maintain AWS infrastructure across the group Collaborate with development teams to meet, The role involves automating infrastructure tasks such as environment builds, scaling, monitoring, and patching, while supporting and maintaining AWS infrastructure across the group. The engineer will collaborate with development teams to meet infrastructure needs and design cloud architecture optimized for performance and cost.
Requirements
Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Kubernetes, Docker, EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Python, Bash, Linux, infrastructure requirements Design and build cloud architecture optimised for performance and cost-efficiency Maintain documentation and follow change management protocols Ensure systems comply with internal controls and security standards What we're looking for... Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, AWS CloudFormation) Proficiency in container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, VPC, Route53, S3, RDS, CloudWatch) Scripting skills in Python and Bash Familiarity with Linux and database technologies (Ubuntu, Apache, PHP, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Nginx) Experience with Git/Mercurial and system integrations/migrations Understanding of IT security fundamentals and ITIL service management A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for continuous learning What you can expect from us...
