We provide products and services to financial institutions worldwide: central banks, commercial banks, investment banks, and financial market participants; across three verticals: payments, capital markets, and lending.As a Data Engineer, you will be delivering next-generation retail payment infrastructure for European financial institutions, translating complex business and data requirements into precise, actionable inputs that drive technical delivery.
Requirements
We are looking for a engineer who combines deep data expertise with a genuine understanding of the banking ecosystem, and who takes ownership of quality at every stage of the process.You will contribute to building regulated payment infrastructure that will serve as foundational architecture for retail transactions across multiple European jurisdictions. This platform represents a historic shift: enabling central bank money to operate alongside retail digital payment rails, enhancing monetary sovereignty, payment resilience and financial inclusion across the eurozone.Minimum QualificationsMinimum 4 years of experience as a Data engineerHands-on experience designing and building relational databases.Proficiency in database schema design, normalization, and ER modeling.Experience creating tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and other database objects.Demonstrated ability coordinating teams and translating business requirements into technical specifications.Experience working in banking industry and/or consultancy firms.Proven track record in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban)Full professional fluency in both Spanish and EnglishPreferred QualificationsExperience across the data lifecycle: processing, warehousing, modeling, and access managementStrong understanding of payment infrastructures and the banking landscape (CBDC, digital currencies, digital payments or tokenized assets projects).
