Job description
In this role, you will serve as a Data Architect within our Operational Management and Digitalization team, ensuring seamless business continuity. You will play a critical part in advancing the digitalization of drivetrain manufacturing operations by designing, building, and maintaining the core data infrastructure that supports our business. Your day will involve defining high-level designs and roadmaps to shape our data ecosystem, creating and optimizing data pipelines and platforms to drive operational excellence, and safeguarding data quality while providing expert technical guidance. As an expert in operational data platforms, you will leverage your deep experience in data architecture, cloud platform development, and integration to deliver robust solutions. Your background in industrial or manufacturing environments will help you effectively translate business needs into technical outcomes that support our digital ambitions.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Design and maintain a comprehensive data architecture for the Drivetrain operational domain, aligning with business digitalization objectives and establishing technical requirements, models, and standards.
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for operational data platforms, selecting and integrating appropriate technologies such as cloud services, databases, and analytics tools.
- Build and optimize scalable, secure data solutions and pipelines (ETL/ELT) that consolidate data from manufacturing and enterprise systems, enabling real-time analytics and operational reporting.
- Implement and manage containerized and microservices-based platform components with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, ensuring high reliability through thorough testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies to ensure quality, integrity, security, and compliance, while providing expert guidance and documentation for stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor data professionals, driving best practices and overseeing complex data-centric projects from concept to completion with minimal managerial oversight.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data architecture, platform engineering, or software development, with a proven track record managing large, complex data projects in enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in data architecture and modeling, SQL, microservices, APIs, and web services.
- Hands-on experience with platform and DevOps engineering, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Python, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex problems and work effectively within Agile methodologies.
- Background in manufacturing, industrial, or operational technology (OT) domains, enabling effective translation of business needs into technical solutions.
