User Experience Designer

Hexwired Recruitment is working with a client in Manchester who is looking to onboard User Experience Designer to support a number of high-profile programmes across finance, energy, and secure government environments.

The Role You'll work closely with users, product teams, and engineers to design, test, and refine user experiences. From discovery through to delivery, you'll turn user needs into practical, high-quality design solutions while contributing to a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion user-centred design across projects
• Conduct workshops and support user research activities
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and design concepts (e.g. using Figma)
• Translate user needs into clear, usable design solutions
• Evaluate and iterate designs based on feedback and testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective delivery

• Experience in UX design within digital or technical environments
• Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies
• Proficient in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma)
• Ability to communicate and present design ideas clearly
• Comfortable working with ambiguity and solving complex user problems
• Collaborative mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills
