Job description
You'll join our IT team in a front of house support role, acting as the first point of contact for IT queries across the business. You'll help users with day-to-day technical issues, support the delivery of IT projects, and play an active part in improving how IT support is delivered.
There may be occasional travel to our other offices, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
What you'll be doing
Typical responsibilities include:
- Being the first point of contact for IT support requests
- Setting up, configuring, deploying, and maintaining end user PCs, virtual desktops, peripherals and equipment
- Logging, triaging, and resolving IT issues where possible, or escalating to the wider IT team when needed
- Managing support cases through to resolution in a timely and professional manner
- Gathering information on recurring issues to help identify trends and improve support processes and documentation, This role will be full time 35 hours per week in our Lockington Hall office.
Requirements
We're looking to welcome a Junior IT Technician to our IT Team to support the continued growth of the business and increasing technical demand. This role is based at our Lockington office (near East Midlands Airport, M1 J24) and is ideal for someone at the start of their IT career who is keen to learn, get hands on experience, and grow their skills in a supportive environment.
Whether you've completed an apprenticeship, college course, work placement, or have some hands-on experience in a similar support role, we'd love to hear from you if you're keen to learn, reliable, and ready to take the next step in your IT career., This role would suit someone who:
- Is driven, motivated, and enthusiastic about starting or developing a career in IT
- Takes ownership of tasks and enjoys seeing problems through to resolution
- Can work under their own guidance, using initiative while knowing when to ask for help
- Works well as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing positively
- Is confident, clearly spoken, and able to communicate with people at different technical levels
- Has a genuine interest in technology and a basic understanding of IT systems and support principles

Salary- £24,500 - £26,500 per annum. Salary offered will be based on experience.
