Job description

We are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering advanced maritime and defence technology solutions. The organisation specialises in the design and development of cutting-edge sonar and anti-submarine warfare systems used in naval operations worldwide.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with early career experience to gain exposure across the full systems engineering lifecycle, working on complex, mission-critical projects., * Support the delivery of systems engineering activities across the full project lifecycle (concept through to in-service support)

  • Assist in requirements capture, analysis, and management
  • Contribute to system design, integration, and verification activities
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation and system artefacts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software, hardware, and mechanical engineering
  • Support validation and testing of systems to ensure performance and compliance
  • Participate in design reviews and technical discussions

Requirements

  • 2-3 years' experience in a Systems Engineering or related engineering role
  • Understanding of the full systems engineering lifecycle (e.g. V-model)
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g. DOORS, Jama, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline
  • MUST BE BASED IN THE UK FOR LAST 5 YEARS AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN SC CLEARANCE Desirable Skills o Experience in defence, maritime, or highly regulated industries o Knowledge of systems integration and verification processes o Familiarity with modelling tools (e.g. MATLAB, Simulink, or SysML) o Understanding of configuration management and change control
