Job description
Reporting to the ERP Applications Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing the organization's ERP landscape. This position ensures that the Business Central environment remains consistent with the approved business templates, supports end-users with functional system issues, coordinates system updates, and develops new functionality to meet evolving business needs. The application specialist works within a multidisciplinary team to ensure that the platform efficiently supports standardized business processes., * Safeguarding the standard Business Central template and ensuring compliance with company-wide process standards.
- Providing functional support to users by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to daily system usage.
- Coordinating and supporting system upgrades, hotfix deployments, and implementation of new releases.
- Gathering business requirements and translating them into functional specifications for new functionality or improvements.
- Configuring, testing, and implementing enhancements or extensions, where needed, in collaboration with (external) technical consultants.
- Conducting user acceptance testing (UAT) and providing training sessions to ensure user adoption.
- Creating and maintaining documentation (process guides, configuration records, change logs) to support template governance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and key users to continuously improve system use and user experience.
- Keeping well informed about Microsoft updates, best practices, and new features relevant to Business Central.
Requirements
- Up-to-date knowledge of ERP MS Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- 3+ years of work experience as a Functional Consultant or Application Specialist in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze business processes and convert them into system solutions.
- Familiarity with Power Platform integrations (eg, Power BI, Power Automate) is a plus.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
