Job description
- Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and user research teams to create a vision for your product area.
- Serve as a bridge linking design, product, engineering, and marketing teams.
- Oversee multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences.
- Communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders using documentation, reviews, and presentations.
- Produce wireframes, storyboards, concepts, and other collateral to help communicate research results and make the case for new ideas.
- Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide and design system.
- Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds.
- Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product.
- Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns.
- Mentor new design staff.
- Develop software that is global in reach, universal in design, and designed for users of multiple languages and abilities.
- Advocate for accessibility through encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes.
- Support the vision for a product's creative identity, articulates it clearly and convincingly, and guide the team through its implementation.
Requirements
As a member of our curious, highly collaborative, and motivated User Experience team, you will be involved at all levels of the product development process: from gathering customer insights, future-visioning, and prototyping through implementation and testing. You'll have the opportunity to make an impact by creating exceptional design solutions and establishing new design patterns and paradigms.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise working with key marketing personas and jobs to be done. - Ability to deliver solutions on time independently and with on-site and distributed teams
- Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and best practices, and experience using analytics and research to drive decisions and develop product iterations.
- Ability to explore ideas, persuade, and build consensus on fast-moving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity and deadlines.
- Capability to deliver original, high-quality design work that is conceptually strong, meets business needs, and is at the right level of fidelity for each phase of a project.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with an ability to build and develop close, trusting relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders across product and engineering.
- Familiar with managing large design initiatives, including managing competing priorities.
- Demonstrated desire to continually improve on processes.
- Can design and think in design systems, not just single-purpose apps.
- Can consider how a design impacts ethics and equality, and have the conviction to speak up if veering off course.
- Expert knowledge of current design tools, such as Figma, along with an ability to learn new tools.
- BA/BS or MA/MS in a design-related field, or equivalent experience.

At Salesforce, we believe in equitable compensation practices that reflect the dynamic nature of labor markets across various regions. The typical base salary range for this position is $99,400 - $150,300 annually. In select cities within the San Francisco and New York City metropolitan area, the base salary range for this role is $118,900 - $163,500 annually. The range represents base salary only, and does not include company bonus, incentive for sales roles, equity or benefits, as applicable.
