Job description
- Working under the direction of the Architect or the BI Lead to modify existing reports whenever theres a business requirement change, identifying issues with business requirements. I.e., if you have a report of a list of customers policies theres a new product they started selling and they havent put it on the report they will go in & query it to add the new product
- 80% reporting/visualization, 20% ETL work
- Creating lightweight ETL code using Python
- Visualization work: will tell stories through images.
Requirements
- Data visualization and reporting with Tableau preferably (secondary Power BI)
- Artistic abilities with visualization (ideally someone who is passionate about telling a story through images)
- Experience building/creating dashboards
- Building Scatter Plots, Heat Maps, Bar Charts, etc.
- Simple data movement to make reporting simpler
- SQL - - proficient, not expert level
- Able to make use of indexes
- Writing joins
- Query tuning/query optimization
- Basic Python scripting for ETL processes
