Job description
IT Specialist - System Administrator will work at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
Support areas include Experimentation, and Integration
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform system administration tasks to meet security compliance protocol and maintain the function and connectivity of DREN/BLCSE.
- Assist with technical assistance to BLCSE users consisting of hardware troubleshooting, software troubleshooting, and the instruction of users on the proper use of systems.
- System administration tasks such as installing and configuring workstation and server operating systems in Redhat Linux/CentOS and all variations of Windows-based operating systems.
- Participate in FCC scheduled Technical Work Groups, Integration Events, Admin Work Groups, and all activities related to the operation and maintenance of the BLCSE system.
- Setup, teardown, and operation of the BLCSE equipment to include VTCs and computer workstations.
- Other Duties Assigned.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows?, * Systems Administrator with certifications in Security+ Certification, Networking Computing Environment IAT Level II, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Linux Computing Systems IAT Level II, Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA), Linux Professional Institute (LPIC), Microsoft Windows IAT Level II, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), Enterprise Desktop Administrator on Windows 10, Windows Server 2012 Administrator, or Windows Server 2016 Administrator, Cloud Platform and Linux on Azure and OneSAF.
- Requisite certifications to perform the necessary network operations and maintenance functions.
- Must have the required knowledge to diagnose and correct personal computer and network malfunctions.
- Must be technically knowledgeable with local area network hardware.
- 4 years of Operational Strategic (theater), Operational (corps), and Tactical (division) command experience both in a deployed and institutional environment is highly desired
- Possess in-depth knowledge on the use of share point portals, websites, databases, and distributed teaming technology
- SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS MANDATORY
