Job description
The Associate Director, Business Intelligence leads the strategy, design, and scaling of finance reporting and analytics across CenterWell. This role oversees the business-facing analytics ecosystem - including executive reporting, financial reporting products, and governed self-service analytics - delivered on a centralized cloud data and analytics platform.
This position is remote; however, the candidate will be expected to work according to Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time.
The Associate Director, Business Intelligence is the finance strategy partner and sets priorities into scalable reporting capabilities. The role leads a team of BI and analytics professionals. It partners closely with Finance Leadership, Transformation Office, and Data Platform teams to operationalize analytics. The role provides strategic direction and oversight for analytics solutions built on the CenterWell Finance cloud data platform. These solutions are delivered through enterprise Power BI reporting.
Job Responsibilities

Lead the Finance reporting and analytics roadmap across business segments, translating leadership priorities into scalable analytics and reporting capabilities that allow standardized financial insights across CenterWell

Define and improve common reporting constructs, KPIs, and financial views across finance while aligning analytics initiatives with broader finance transformation strategy.

Provide leadership oversight and architectural direction for analytics and reporting solutions using Power BI, SQL-based data models, and the Snowflake/Databricks finance data platform

Oversee the design and delivery of centralized financial and executive reporting solutions on the analytics platform. This drives the transition from fragmented manual reporting toward automated, scalable reporting environments. Additionally, ensure consistency, usability, and adoption across leadership teams.

Guide the development of governed financial datasets and reusable analytical assets. These assets leverage SQL-based data models and cloud data platforms, such as Snowflake and Databricks. This enables finance teams to access standardized, trusted data through centralized analytics environments.

Lead cross-functional analytics initiatives addressing key finance priorities and support the evolution from descriptive reporting toward driver-based and forward-looking insights. Partner with data platform and engineering teams to operationalize advanced analytics outputs and support finance automation and AI-enabled reporting initiatives.

Lead and develop a team of BI and analytics professionals, setting priorities, delivery plans, and quality standards across initiatives. Ensure alignment between reporting demand and platform architecture and oversee delivery of finance reporting modernization efforts.

Partner with finance transformation, planning, FP&A, Controller, and business finance stakeholders to align reporting and analytics capabilities with business needs. Collaborate with data platform teams to ensure Snowflake/Databricks data architecture and SQL data models support finance analytics and reporting requirements., Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field

7+ years of experience in BI, analytics, or Finance reporting environments

5+ years of leadership experience managing BI/analytics teams

Strong understanding of modern BI and data platforms including Power BI, SQL-based data modeling, and cloud data environments such as Snowflake and Databricks

Familiarity with Power BI architecture, SQL-based analytics modeling, and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks from a reporting and analytics leadership perspective.

Experience with Finance reporting and FP&A processes

Experience designing executive and financial reporting solutions

Advanced knowledge of Power BI and analytics platforms

Strong understanding of SQL-based data modeling and analytics data architecture

Experience working with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks or similar)

Experience partnering with Finance and Accounting stakeholders

Translate business needs into scalable analytics solutions
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare Finance analytics or complex operational Finance environments

Experience in Finance transformation or reporting modernization initiatives

Experience leading analytics delivery on Snowflake and/or Databricks architectures

Master's degree in Business, Analytics, or related field
Benefits & conditions
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$129,300 - $177,800 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
