Job description

Performs data analysis to accurately process HR related transactions in compliance with HCPS policies and regulations.

Provides functional support in the processing of contract, position, and budget changes for HCPS employees.

Implements knowledge of current data configuration and systems as needed to process daily HRMS transactions.

Performs continuous audits of data to verify HRMS entries for accuracy.

Analyzes data to resolve and respond to departmental and/or user inquiries.

Develops and performs test routines to ensure data validity and compliance with current HRMS system requirements and HCPS policies and regulations.

Assists in the development of protocols, including creation and maintenance of documentation as needed.

Participates in the development and implementation of strategies to assist users with the most efficient utilization of available HRMS system resources.

Assists HCPS departments and staff in interpreting and applying current HRMS system procedures.

Provides initial and ongoing training and instruction to staff of data system usage and application.

Prioritizes confidentiality in working with detailed employee and payroll data.

Attends work daily and is engaged in job responsibilities.

Requirements

Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Business or a related field and a minimum of one year of directly related work experience;

Knowledge of applicable regulations, methods and practices related to public school organization; strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including SharePoint; skills and abilities to research, analyze and retrieve data; creates spreadsheets and other related forms; communicates effectively in both oral and written form; follows detailed directions; sets priorities and organize work to meet deadlines; ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and processes; works independently and as a team member; establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with those contacted during the course of work; maintains confidentiality of employee information; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Experience in a school district preferred.

Benefits & conditions

This is a 260-days (12 months), 8 hours per day position in the Human Resources Department. Minimum starting salary is $62,605.07.
