Job description

The Systems Engineer will have the opportunity to design, integrate/test and conduct data analysis to assess system performance of the Command, Control and Communications (C3) systems. The C3 systems perform multiple critical functions such as radar and sensor management, track filtering, track management including correlation/association, control of multiple communication links, threat evaluation and prioritization, and command of weapon systems for target engagement or assignment., Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of systems engineering principles, algorithm development, and data analysis to troubleshoot and evaluate., BS Degree in Engineering or STEM field with minimum of 2 years' professional experience OR minimum of 4 years' Military related experience in lieu of Degree. Experience performing system and data analysis Functional knowledge of combat systems Understanding of technical process for testing complex software systems Ability to apply MATLAB, or Python as analytical tools for evaluation, modeling, simulation, and/or prototyping. Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance at the SECRET level

Desired skills

Command and Control systems development experience including algorithms, software, and data analysis Demonstrated analytical, applied mathematics and problem-solving skills. Prior experience in the defense industry or related field Strong Systems Engineering Background
