IT Healthcare Consultant - Software Engineer - Project Lead

• Support implementation, configuration, testing, and go-live of healthcare applications including:

• Electronic Health Records (EHR)
• Lab Information Systems
• PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems)
• Pharmacy systems

• Collaborate with vendors, clinical teams, and technical staff for system deployment and support
• Maintain healthcare IT infrastructure including applications, databases, templates, and reporting tools
• Troubleshoot EMR-related issues and perform root cause analysis
• Manage system integrations and ensure seamless data exchange across platforms
• Develop and generate reports for business and clinical stakeholders
• Document workflows for medical and mental health care processes
• Provide ongoing operational support for healthcare IT systems

• 7+ years of experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems (preferably NextGen)
• 7+ years of experience with Mirth Lab Systems / NextGen Connect
• 7+ years of experience in EMR Integration
• 7+ years of experience with Interoperability and Data Transfer
• 7+ years of experience in Healthcare IT Operations
• Experience working with State Government Agencies
• Strong experience in healthcare system implementation and production support

Preferred Skills

• Experience with HL7 Messaging
• Experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources)
• Certifications such as:

• NextGen Connect Certification
• EHR Certification
• Practice Management Certification
