Autodesk is seeking a highly motivated, experienced Software Development Manager to join the Autodesk Data & Process Management team inBengaluru, India, to lead our Fusion team. We are looking for a strong leader and communicator with a balance of technical knowledge and business acumen.As an ideal candidate, you have led teams developing scalable cloud services in a fast-paced, agile environment. You know how to nurture talent, develop and advocate best practices, foster open communication, and provide guidance and mentoring to effective and high-performing teams to deliver high-quality solutions.This is an exciting opportunity to be part of and contribute to the evolution of the engineering discipline in a lean/agile environment, and to help build an organization committed to continuous improvement., * Accountable for business outcomes and engineering excellence for the teams.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define roadmap, priorities and project delivery plans for scrum team
  • Inspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, optimal creativity, and efficiency.
  • Lead and mentor developers to meet organizational needs as well as individual career goals.
  • Recruit and nurture best talents to develop high-performing teams.
  • Coordinate with other teams, on engineering best practices and dependencies and business outcomes.
  • Enhance engineering efficiency by closely observing the team, identifying opportunities, and influencing the improvement.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to teammates.
  • Identify the right approach when facing uncertainties and support teams in navigating changes.
  • Create a collaborative and inclusive culture that supports open communication and psychological safety

Requirements

  • BS degree in software engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in the industry involving designing and developing cloud/server applications and desktop applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading, mentoring, and managing development teams, or other similar leadership roles (managing cross-functional team members from Software Engineers to Principal Engineers to Architects).
  • Strong fundamentals & hands-on in Backend (microservices development) technology stack - JavaSpringBoot, JavaScript, AWS
  • Experience in hiring key talent and setting up teams for success.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to explain complex subjects simply to a variety of audiences.
  • Proven ability to deliver well-structured project plans and communicate across teams
  • Experience leading in an Agile development environment and well-versed in Agile methodologies.
  • A continuous improvement mindset, with a desire to enhance both the customer and developer experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical dependencies with broader business goals
