Job description

As a Systems Engineer for Configuration Management, you will be part of the Technical Integration Management (TIM) team for Sustainment Systems Integration, within the SEIT directorate.

You will be responsible for: Performing documentation review and audit functions of technical data products using a Windchill workflow program (Enterprise Product Data Management, EPDM). Validating technical data products, to include: design drawings and parts lists (electrical and mechanical engineering); 3D models; engineering documentation/procedures; engineering alteration documentation; specifications; and interface control drawings. Reviewing and processing change documentation, monitoring and reporting progress through the release cycle. Coordinating changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing and other affected organizations. Understanding prototype/development engineering processes, models and interface products. Collaborating with Windchill (EPDM) end-users, system administrators and database administrators to resolve issues and implement solutions. Assisting with the creation of accounts and user privileges. Updating command media, including Ordnance Documents and Engineering Procedures., Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Requirements

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Engineering or a technical discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education Prior experience in change management or change control, or configuration management Experience or knowledge in reviewing 3D models, model-based designs, and/or schematics Experience or knowledge in reviewing model based engineering products Communication skills and experience working with cross-product teams ship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Top Secret security clearance

Desired skills

One or more of the following:

Experience with logical, mechanical, and/or electrical interfaces. Systems engineering disciplines performing technical planning, system integration, verification, validation and risk assessment activities. Familiarity with Navy / government customers and FBM program, processes and policies. Self-starter with ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Working knowledge of Windchill (EPDM), Jira, and/or Confluence Familiarity with 3D modeling software (such as Creo Parametric), model-based systems engineering products (such as Cameo Systems Modeler) and/or requirements management systems (such as DOORS). Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Process improvement initiative development and execution. Excellent technical and procedural writing abilities. Engineering requirements documentation research skills. Alteration and proposal process experience (such as the TAD, PAD and SPALT processes). Active Secret or Top Secret clearance.

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
