Job description
We are seeking a dedicated, disciplined, process-oriented Sr. Manager, Process Management professional who excels in a team environment and is an expert in process improvement. This individual will have demonstrated that they have improved company processes in the past, resulting in saving time and resources for the company. This individual must be able to effectively communicate and influence partners across the company and across multiple levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic agile environment are essential to succeeding in this role. This individual must display strong leadership skills and be able to drive and motivate a team in delivering flawless execution of process improvement projects.
As a member of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Governance & Oversight team, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the SDLC through governance, controls compliance, and requirements oversight. The team partners with Cyber, Risk, Engineering, and lines of business to ensure compliance to the SDLC while also identifying opportunities to mitigate risk through process improvement and automation.
General Responsibilities:

Manage the development of multiple processes: monitor, report, and plan process improvement or redesign initiatives; define, establish, and manage process controls; identify process improvement opportunities and implement them through collaboration with other groups management; make final recommendations for approval on changes

Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance our data management practices, processes and controls, and validations

Maintain formal process documents (e.g. procedures and diagrams), and document processes and projects (creating project reports, presentations, business cases, and diagrams)

Work with team members to develop robust risk management processes

Analyze data and influence others to proactively identify data risks and trends

Consultation and representation of well managed processes, customer experience, and risk management for new intent

Effectively partner with Product, Technology and Intent Owners to achieve desired outcomes or improvements by clarifying needs and providing appropriate solutions

Collect data and information to provide transparency to senior leadership on the health of the process

Identify and implement process improvements

Track and resolve process breakdowns, issues and risk events

Creating and validating processes

Designing and producing metrics used to measure efficiency and effectiveness

Driving process improvements aligned with desired customer outcomes
Requirements

Self-starter who knows when to work independently and collectively to meet task deadlines and specifications

Eager to periodically participate in other special projects for the team

Savvy with providing consultation about the design, implementation, and operating effectiveness of IT and business application control activities

Appreciative of organizational science and theoretical frameworks that prescribe how to achieve optimal organizational results
Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
-
At least 5 years of Process, Project, or Risk Management experience
-
At least 3 years of Continual Improvement experience
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Bachelor's Degree

3+ years experience delivering technology and system implementation programs
-
3+ years experience with Technology or Cyber Risk Management
-
3+ years experience with the regulatory framework governing the financial services industry
-
3+ years experience with Jira

Benefits & conditions
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Plano, TX: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management
Richmond, VA: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management
New York, NY: $178,800 - $204,100 for Sr Manager, Process Management
Chicago, IL: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management
McLean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100 for Sr Manager, Process Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
