Job description

Kentro is hiring for Senior Application Developer to support USSOCOM/EDAT Contract. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and mission-critical applications that support enterprise portal capabilities across the SOCOM environment. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, strong experience in modern web development, Power Platform solutions, and a solid understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements., * Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-level web applications supporting USSOCOM J6 portal initiatives

  • Build and customize solutions using modern development frameworks (e.g., React, .NET, JavaScript/TypeScript)
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint Online / SharePoint Server solutions, including SPFx web parts, workflows, and integrations
  • Integrate applications with Microsoft 365 services, APIs, and external data sources
  • Design and implement business solutions using Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
  • Develop, manage, and optimize SQL databases, queries, and data integrations
  • Ensure applications meet Zero Trust architecture principles and DoD cybersecurity standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cybersecurity, infrastructure, and program leadership
  • Perform code reviews, enforce development standards, and mentor junior developers
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and security vulnerabilities
  • Support Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Experience: 7+ years of experience in application development

  • Technical Skills: Strong experience with: o JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS o React or similar modern front-end frameworks o .NET / C# or comparable backend technologies

  • Hands-on experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)

  • Strong experience with SQL development, database design, and data management

  • Experience developing in SharePoint (SPFx) and Microsoft 365 environments

  • Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-based architectures

  • Experience working in DoD or Federal environments

  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain), * Experience supporting USSOCOM or SOF programs

  • Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and secure software development practices

  • Experience with Azure / Azure Government cloud environments

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and containerization

  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)

  • Scrum/Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Developer or Scrum Master)

Clearance Requirement:

  • Secret Clearance and higher

  • DoD 8570 / 8140 IAT Level II compliant certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE or higher)

  • Must be a US Citizen
