Our client has a brand new opportunity for a qualified Lab IT Support Technician to join their team onsite in Louisville, KY, and provide advanced technical support across laboratory and office environments. This role supports the Lab ecosystem, including troubleshooting and installation of network, desktop, and server-related technologies. The position works closely with infrastructure teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure system stability, connectivity, and successful deployment of lab technologies., * Provide advanced remote and onsite technical support for lab and office environments
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot a wide range of IT equipment including USB, serial, and Ethernet-based devices
- Support network environments including wired and wireless connectivity (TCP/IP, internet, LAN/WAN)
- Troubleshoot and support integrations related to Lab Information Systems (LIS)
- Lead technical troubleshooting efforts and guide internal teams, vendors, and third-party partners to resolution
- Assist with ecosystem installations, including hardware setup and connectivity validation
- Conduct site surveys and gather technical requirements for new installations
- Collaborate with infrastructure SMEs across networking, desktop, and server teams
- Develop and document best practices, procedures, and training materials
- Work with vendors to resolve technical issues and ensure successful system integration
- Manage multiple priorities and support cross-functional initiatives
- Review purchase requests, invoices, and vendor quotes as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of IT support experience in enterprise, lab, or technical environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, networking, and system integrations
- Experience with Windows environments and basic server support
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wired/wireless networks)
- Experience supporting or working with Lab Information Systems (LIS) is a plus
- Ability to work onsite and travel to lab locations as needed
- Strong communication skills with the ability to guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience with device connectivity (USB, Serial, Ethernet) preferred
- Experience working in healthcare, lab, or scientific environments preferred
- Familiarity with vendor coordination and third-party support preferred
- Ability to lead troubleshooting efforts and drive issues to resolution preferred
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong documentation practices
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Benefits & conditions
The rate for this position is between $ 26.25 - $35.00 per hour , unless local minimum wage is higher.
